Mom Wears 2 Engraved Gold Circle Pendants - Tiny Tags
Personalize Gold Circle Necklace - Tiny Tags

My husband and I met in Miami while he was playing in the Sony Ericsson tennis tournament. He was a professional tennis player at the time and was constantly traveling the world, but I like to think that the allure of Miami and myself was just too much to pass up, so he moved here in 2006. We got married in Paris, France (I’m a hopeless romantic) in 2007 and returned back to Miami Beach as our permanent base.

As my husband’s new business venture began to grow, we realized we also needed to spend some time in Switzerland (where his company is located), so we began to split the time between Miami beach (Sept-June) and Zurich (June-August). Now that we have children (Mia and Alexander), we realize just how lucky we are to be able to do this. For the kids especially. To have a change of scenery, culture, lifestyle, and language for several months a year is truly extraordinary.

Our home is very multicultural. I’m Mexican, raised in the midwest (shout out to Muncie, Indiana). He’s Swiss, raised all over the world (shout out to the ATP and its extensive tennis schedule). I only speak Spanish to the kids. He only speaks German to them. Together, we speak English. So the kids are naturally trilingual. And it’s honestly so easy for them. Kids are super smart…all of them. You just need to expose them to things and they catch on so quickly. We’ve added French as a fourth language for them and they don’t even blink when they hear it. It all just flows for them. A child’s brain is an incredible thing.

We consider ourselves pretty lucky to be able to create and share our lives with our children and they truly are the world to us. That’s why my Tiny Tags necklace is so meaningful and important to me. I have plenty of beautiful necklaces, but this one is by far the most worn and the most loved. It’s simple, but chic, and the craftsmanship is perfect. I have received so many compliments and inquiries about it. It’s one of the best gifts I can think of for a mom, grandmother, aunt, godmother, or close friend.
