Live Inspired: A Tiny Tags and Amy Purdy Collection
I am so excited to launch our new collection of Live Inspired pieces with Amy Purdy!
Amy Purdy was an artist and board sport enthusiast growing up. At the age of 19 her life changed forever. After a day of flu like symptoms Amy was rushed to the hospital in a state of septic shock and diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis, a deadly blood infection. Amy fought for her life for nearly 3 months, leaving the hospital a completely different person physically, mentally, and spiritually. Amy lost both of her legs below the knees but it didn't stop her from following her dreams. Amy is now a 3 x Paralympic Medalist snowboarder, Top Motivational speaker and NY Times Best Selling Author as well as one of Oprah’s Top 100 Thought Leaders. She was also a runner up on Dancing with the Stars! Amy's book 'On My Own Two Feet' reveals the intimate details of her triumphant comeback from the brink of death to making history as a Paralympic snowboarder.
I’ve always admired Amy since first hearing her speak in the Oprah's Live Your Best Life tour in 2015. To watch someone not let a serious challenge deter her from following her dreams, inspired me to never let any obstacles set me back on my path to my dreams.
Amy created the mantra 'Live Inspired' as a reminder to live life to its absolute fullest from that point forward. Since then, 'Live Inspired' has been a reminder to surround herself with the things that inspire her the most.
Our new collaboration with Amy is a collection of pieces that inspire us all to 'Live Inspired'. Until December 17th, 20% of net proceeds from this collection will go towards Adaptive Action Sports to support the next generation of athletes with disabilities. Adaptive Action Sports provides recreation programs and high level snowboard training for youth, young adults and wounded veterans living with permanent physical disabilities.
The centerpiece of the Amy Purdy 'Live Inspired' Collection, this Mini Dog Tag necklace, has the mantra that has fueled Amy since losing both her legs below the knees at age 19.
This delicate and unique three-arrow pendant design is a reminder that sometimes you need to go backwards in order to move forward.
When we are inspired, we inspire others - and it drives us to be the best versions of ourselves. Amy's mantra of 'Live Inspired' and the collection we have curated with her captures this message perfectly. We are honored to work with such an amazing and motivating person.
