Honoring Armstrong

My whole life, I’ve looked up to my parents with immense admiration, and they are the foundation of who I am. Through every phase, from the highs and lows of being a teenager, to joining a sorority in college, to the intense journey of chiropractic school and eventually earning the title “Dr. Armstrong,” they have been my constant. Their guidance has carried me through both the brightest and darkest chapters, and the name Armstrong has always been a source of strength, pride, and identity.
When I got engaged, I found myself deeply torn about whether to change my last name. Being an Armstrong is more than just a name; it’s a connection to the people who raised me, shaped me, and stood by me every step of the way. It represents everything I’ve grown into.
At the same time, I feel an equally strong desire to build something new with my fiancé, a shared name that reflects our commitment to each other and the future we’re creating together. A name our future children will carry, one that we’ll fill with its own meaning and pride.
So I decided to honor both. As a wedding present, I gifted myself the Script Nameplate Bracelet with my maiden name, a small but powerful reminder of where I come from. Wherever life takes me, no matter what name I write down, I’ll always carry Armstrong with me. It’s forever a part of who I am.
