Only God Could Have Written It
My journey to motherhood is one only God could have written.
Nearly five years ago, I received a phone call from my OBGYN office that completely changed my life. I thought I was getting routine results, but instead I was told I had a rare uterine abnormality and may never be able to have children. In an instant, the dream of becoming a mother felt shattered.
After being referred for further testing and surgery, I walked through one of the hardest and most uncertain seasons of my life. I was young, scared, and overwhelmed. But even then, God never left me. The night before surgery, He gave me peace through Isaiah 41:10, reminding me not to fear because He would strengthen and uphold me. That promise carried me through.
Months later, after a difficult recovery, I went back expecting to discuss more procedures. Instead, my doctor walked in smiling and said everything looked perfect. No more surgeries were needed. Only God could have written that outcome.
Then last summer, I found out I was expecting my sweet son, Alsey. I fell to my knees in tears, praising Jesus for the miracle I had once been told might never happen. Every day of my pregnancy felt sacred. Every heartbeat, every kick, every moment was a reminder that God's plans are always greater than our fears.
Now, on my first Mother's Day, I hold my precious baby boy in my arms with a heart overflowing with gratitude. Becoming his mother has been the greatest joy of my life.
One of my most treasured keepsakes is my Tiny Tags Mini Dog Tag necklace engraved with Alsey's name and birthdate. I chose the dog tag style as a tribute to my husband, who serves in the military and had to leave the week after our son was born. Wearing it keeps both of my boys close to my heart every single day.
My greatest prayer is to raise Alsey to know and love the Lord who brought us together in His perfect timing.
