Stronger Than Cancer, Surrounded by Love

When my mom finished her last day of immunotherapy for melanoma, I wanted to give her something that meant more than a gift. I wanted her to have a reminder of everything she fought through: the fear, the endless appointments, the exhaustion, and the strength she showed every single day, even on the hardest ones.

I knew I wanted a necklace, but I didn't want it to come from me alone. I wanted it to come from the people who love her most, especially her granddaughter. There's something powerful about a child giving a gift like that. It's pure love, hope, and admiration all wrapped into one small moment. So I let my daughter choose. She's five and loves hearts, so she picked the Pave Heart Necklace without a second thought. I pictured her placing it in my mom's hands, and my mom wearing it every day as a reminder that she is stronger than cancer, deeply loved, and never alone. Not just a reminder of what she went through, but of what she made it through.

To us, that necklace stands for resilience, family, and a new chapter. Every time she touches it, I hope she remembers how proud we are of her and how much light she still brings to all of our lives.

This wasn't our family's first Tiny Tags piece, and it won't be our last. Before our daughter, I had three miscarriages, and three more before our son. After everything it took to bring them into the world, meaningful jewelry matters deeply to us. My husband gave me Vertical Name Necklace with both of our children's names and birth dates, along with a Pavé Small Dog Tag engraved with our wedding date. They're the pieces I reach for over anything else, and I'm almost never without them.

Thank you, Tiny Tags, for creating jewelry that holds our family's biggest moments, and for letting me share our story.
