International Women's Day 2022
Today is International Women’s Day - a day to celebrate women everywhere. This year's theme is 'Break the Bias' and we see our community doing just that every single day when they share their stories, their triumphs and their struggles. We see you, all of you! We're honored to share some of these women today and the relentless work they do for all of us.
Blessing Adesiyan
This CEO and mother of four is the perfect example of how women are leading successful businesses while having a family! Blessing Adesiyan is the Founder + CEO of Mother Honestly, a platform born out of the desire to see mothers pursue their passions, dreams and goals, without feeling less than. Blessing's mission is to build solutions and a community so women and families can flourish at home AND at work. She has built an amazing network of strong, passionate women!
Hunter McGrady
A mother and entrepreneur, Hunter McGrady, not only shines as a Sports Illustrated model, but is also an excellent example when it comes to mental health. She has a clothing brand, All Worthy, at QVC and hosts a podcast, Model Citizen, with her sister. Hunter continues to display who she is through and through, even if it means showing courage and vulnerability!
Jacent Wamala
One of the most inspiring stories that has been shared on our platform this year, Jacent Wamala was 90k in debt and came up with a plan to pay it off in 3 years... and she DID! Jacent is now a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist turned Money Mindset Coach who helps others look at money through a different lens and is inspiring women every day. She has a book coming out and hosts a podcast called Jacent's Gems.
Amy Purdy
Amy Purdy was an artist and board sport enthusiast growing up. At the age of 19 her life changed forever. After a day of flu like symptoms Amy was rushed to the hospital in a state of septic shock and diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis, a deadly blood infection. Amy fought for her life for nearly 3 months, leaving the hospital a completely different person physically, mentally, and spiritually. Amy lost both of her legs below the knees but it didn't stop her from following her dreams. Amy is now a 3 x Paralympic Medalist snowboarder, Top Motivational speaker and NY Times Best Selling Author as well as one of Oprah’s Top 100 Thought Leaders. She was also a runner up on Dancing with the Stars! Amy's book 'On My Own Two Feet' reveals the intimate details of her triumphant comeback from the brink of death to making history as a Paralympic snowboarder.
