Leap of Faith
Every major challenge I’ve taken has accompanied me with overflowing anxiety, and in the last 7 years, I took on my biggest challenge yet: my immigrant journey. Making the decision to pursue this was a tough one; many tears and sleepless nights were triggered by the fear of uncertainty. My oldest sister encouraged me to take a leap of faith, and much to my surprise (when I shouldn’t be), I saw God lead me through the whole process.
God has guided me through the unknown, blessed me with opportunities, and led me to wonderful people throughout my immigrant journey (from the Philippines to the US). I have so much love and gratitude to Him and all the people who’ve stood by my side in this journey. I always want to be reminded of this, which is why I created a personal necklace with Tiny Tags.
I chose the Circle Necklace and added four tags, all engraved with something special to describe my journey. The first tag says ‘imm jrny’ (short for immigrant journey) and it also includes the Bible verse, Proverbs 3:5-6 (abbreviated). Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding; in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” The other three circle tags are similar and signify the major milestones within my journey, along with details around these milestones.
I’m so grateful, and I love my Tiny Tags because it is a continuous reminder to always BE grateful. And funny enough, the same sister who encouraged me to pursue this journey is the same sister who recommended that I get my necklace done via Tiny Tags. :)
