Light in Darkness

January 10, 2018 my beautiful Dad left this earth unexpectedly. He was the most creative, kind hearted, funny, and humble man you could ever meet. He was a loving husband to my mother for 34 years and an amazing father to me, my sister, and brother. Our hearts were and are still completely broken.

I knew our first Christmas without him would be extremely difficult for everyone, but more so for my mom, which is why I wanted to create this Tiny Tags necklace for her. There is comfort in his memory, after all, it’s all we have left.

I chose to engrave their wedding anniversary date one side & on the other “lux in tenebris”, which is Latin for Light in Darkness. This was inspired by the words on his headstone.

“There are those who possess a light so bright it not only lights their way, but guides others as well. Even in darkness, their light will continue to shine through every heart they touched.”

I know by wearing this necklace, my mom will be able to to carry his love and memory close to her heart every single day.
