My Story Behind The Tag - Laura Demuth
I've never been a necklace person, but I kept being drawn to the simple beauty of the Tiny Tags designs. It has surprised me how attached I am to this one. I have barely taken it off since it came.
It's the Script Nameplate Necklace with both my boys' names on it. I wear it most on the days I know I won't see them much, and lately that's more often than I'd like. My life moves fast. Days fill up before I've caught my breath, and the whole time there are two kids growing up whether I'm in the room or not. Wearing their names keeps them close when my schedule won't.

It's turned into a conversation piece too. Someone notices the script, asks whose names those are, and I get to talk about my boys in the middle of a workday that had nothing to do with them. I love that. It's a good reminder, for me and for whoever I'm with, of who I'm actually doing all of this for.The last few years were heavy. Being able to wear their names out in the world felt like a small reward for what I came through, and a reminder that they're the reason I kept going.

When everything is moving too fast, I bring my fingers up to my neck and run them over the letters. I don't have to look, I just feel for their names. It grounds me every time. They're with me even when they're not in the room, and on the hard days that's exactly what I need.
