Roots and Wings

Tiny Tags has always been part of our family. From baptism gifts, to holidays, to graduation and grandparents we have realized that a wearable reminder of someone's love is the ultimate gift. The girls have even dropped a few hints for Mom. The stackable perfectly imperfect rings are an everyday staple! The girls have watched Tiny Tags grow over the years as they have grown and have always been in awe of the passion, vision and commitment of its CEO and founder, Melissa Clayton. It helps for them to get a courtside view, since she is our neighbor too! Our daughter, Emma, may even have a few cameos on the Tiny Tags website. 

Though it sounds cliche, the seasons of parenting seem to go by so slowly and yet at lightning speed all the same breath. While it's always nice for parents to have little reminders of their children, we have realized in these years of tremendous growth (both in height and attitude :) ) and as they become more independent, it is important for them to have reminders of home. Our daughter, Sophia, is reaching beyond her comfort zone this year, and boarding for winter term in Vermont. We wanted to remind her to "be brave" in her new surroundings-meeting new people, traveling and facing new heights! Emma, who is 12, is heading off to junior high next year. She always has Tiny Tags on her Christmas List so we decided this was the year to gift her a necklace too!

As German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe famously said, "There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots, and the other, wings." When our children fly, we want them to be always reminded of their roots. Tiny Tags makes this possible.
